Governance

Make your voice heard

The LORDCHAIN governance system empowers players to shape the ecosystem through a decentralized voting mechanism. Players can contribute to gameplay adjustments, lore development, and project goals via community-driven proposals. This structure fosters a collaborative environment, ensuring the game's evolution reflects the collective input of its dedicated community. Proposals range in the topic they are addressing, from immediate balancing changes to longer-term objectives, making governance a living-breathing part of BLOCKLORDS’ dynamic and player-centered experience.

Pillars of Participation

  1. Influence and Rewards

By participating in governance, players have the opportunity to directly impact the game’s future. BLOCKLORDS aligns community interests with its growth by offering rewards for voting and proposal participation. This incentivized system ensures players see tangible benefits from their involvement.

  1. Voting Rewards

Governance participants earn rewards proportional to their veLRDS holdings and voting activity. Rewards are distributed based on the weight of votes, reflecting both commitment and influence. Players can claim these rewards directly from their accounts through a streamlined system, ensuring timely and fair compensation for their contributions.

  1. Transparency in Execution

Players can monitor the voting and implementation status of proposals through the governance interface. This transparency keeps players informed about the progress and impact of their decisions, reinforcing trust in the system. Successfully passed proposals are executed in-game or on-chain, allowing players to see the results of their collective decisions.

How to Participate in Governance

  1. Earning veLRDS (Vote-Escrowed $LRDS)

veLRDS tokens are the cornerstone of governance participation. Players earn veLRDS by locking $LRDS token into the Master Validator, with longer lock durations granting more veLRDS and greater voting power. This incentivizes long-term commitment to the BLOCKLORDS ecosystem.

Calculation Formula The amount of veLRDS earned is determined by the quantity of $LRDS tokens locked and the duration of the lock-up period. A larger locked amount and a longer lock-up duration result in greater voting influence.

The formula for calculation is: veLRDS = Locked $LRDS Amount in Master Validator × (Remaining Lock Duration / Maximum Lock Time)

Over time, as the remaining lock duration decreases, the veLRDS balance will decline. To maintain a consistent 1:1 ratio between locked $LRDS and veLRDS, users can activate the Auto-Max Lock mode, ensuring their influence remains maximized.

About Auto-Max Lock mode

Master Validator Delegators can enable Auto-Max Lock mode in the Extend Lock panel. When activated, it sets the lock to maximum unlock time automatically until disabled. Once disabled, the remaining vesting unlock time will apply. Maximum unlock time gives a 1-to-1 voting power to the amount of locked tokens.

  1. Proposal Engagement

Governance proposals cover a variety of topics, such as gameplay tweaks, lore expansion, and token distribution policies. Players can review, vote on, and track proposals through the governance interface, ensuring active engagement in shaping the game and ecosystem. 2.1 Head to the Governance Page to view all ongoing/upcoming Proposals

2.2 Click on Details or Proposal Topic to access detailed proposal content.

2.3 Pick an option you’d like to cast your vote on.

2.4 Confirm the % of veLRDS that you want to vote on and process the vote transaction.

Claim Vote Reward and Track Governance Execution

After the voting and counting cycle concludes, users can view the proposals they participated in and which have completed voting in the Validator - My Rewards interface. From there, they can claim their voting rewards.

Using the Claim & Lock Voting Reward option will add the rewards directly to the locked balance in the current Master Validator. This action also triggers the My Reward Claim operation within the Master Validator.

If the lock-in period for the current Master Validator has expired, or if the user has no locked balance in the Master Validator, they must first initiate a new lock or extend the existing lock period before claiming their voting rewards.

Completed past proposals can be viewed in the Governance - Proposals - Ended section. By clicking on the details of a proposal, users can access specific information about the proposal, including the voting content, results, and the status of its implementation.

By aligning rewards with active participation and maintaining transparency, BLOCKLORDS’ governance system creates a thriving ecosystem where players have a significant voice in shaping the game’s future.
